Three important things to Remember when reading the Old Covenant Books:
(1) "We are not under the Law, but under [God's] cheerful favor." Romans 6:15
(2) Yet "The Law is Good, If one uses it Lawfully." 1 Timothy 1:6
(3) For 'The Law was Only Given to the rebellious House of Israel,' not to the whole world! "Now the promises were made to Abraham and his Seed. He does not say, "And to seeds," as of many, but as of one, "And to your Seed," which is Christ. And this I say, that the Law, which was [given] 430 years later, cannot invalidate the covenant that was previously confirmed by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect. Because if the inheritance is of the Law, it is no longer of promise: but God gave it to Abraham through a promise. Then why was the Law given? It was added because of [Israel's] offenses, until the Seed should come to whom the promise was made." Galatians 3:16-19 "For when those of the nations, who do not have the Law, by nature do the things contained in the law, these, although they do not have the law, are a law to themselves: Who show that the work of the law is written in their hearts—their conscience also testifying, and their thoughts within themselves either accusing or defending them; On the day when, according to the Good News I proclaim, God will judge the things people have kept secret, through Jesus Christ." Romans 2:14-16
The Law was only in effect (in the land of Israel) from the time of Moses until Christ's death on the Cross!
